But when she violates her masters' laws by saving a beautiful human boy out for a hike, Calla begins to question her fate, her existence, and the very essence of the world she has known. By following her heart, she might lose everything--including her own life. Is forbidden love worth the ultimate sacrifice?

Book Trailer:

Memorable Quotes:

"The relationship of a girl and her favorite novel can be complex indeed."

"Her attitude? You mean Efron enjoys spiteful bitchiness..."
"Calla," Shay called from the hall. "Without your nakedness to distract me, I'm remembering that we're in serious trouble. Hurry, please."

My Musings: What immediately drew me in was the beautiful cover. At first glance I thought it was going to be about faeries or something, but was pleasantly surprised that it was about werewolves.

Overall, the book was amazing. The characters are very like able and the main character, Calla, has a very strong sense of herself. You could not help, but get wrapped up with her two love interests: Ren and Shay.

Ren is this super hot Alpha male, while Shay is the more gentle smart type of guy. Reading this book I could definitely not pick which one I liked more than the other. But the rate I'm going I feel that in this case I will end up liking the bad boy Ren.

The writing style was quite enjoyable, except for the chapter. The author threw you right into the action without explaining any of the major details. Its like you had to learn a whole new set of rules for this particular world. That is the only reason I did not give this book "5 out of 5 stars".

I definitely can't wait for the next installment.

Cover Art: This cover is absolutely gorgeous.
